Senior/Mid-Level Cybersecurity Engineer

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior/Mid-Level Cybersecurity Engineer to join our cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices, demonstrated experience in implementing and managing security measures. This role involves taking a leadership position in securing our clients’ organization’s assets, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to strategic security initiatives.

Detyrat

1. Security Strategy and Implementation:

• Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies and frameworks.
• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of security solutions and architectures.
• Conduct security risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.

2. Security Tools and Technologies:
   • Manage and optimize security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, endpoint protection solutions, Privilege Access Management, Multifactor Authentication, Vulnerability Management solutions, Extended Detection and Response solutions, etc.
   • Evaluate and implement new security technologies and tools to enhance the security posture.
3. Compliance and Audit:
   • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, HIPAA).
   • Prepare and participate in security audits and assessments.
   • Maintain and update security policies, procedures, and documentation.
4. Mentoring and Training:
   • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior cybersecurity staff.
   • Develop and deliver security awareness training programs for employees.
   • Foster a culture of security awareness and best practices across the organization.
5. Continuous Improvement and Research:
   • Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
   • Conduct research and recommend improvements to the organization’s security posture.
   • Participate in professional development opportunities and industry conferences.

Kualifikimet

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Certifications: Advanced certifications such as CISSP, CISM, OSCP, or equivalent are highly preferred. – CCNP Sec, ComptiaCySa+…
• Technical Skills:
  • Deep understanding of network protocols, security architectures, and encryption methodologies.
  • Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix)
  • Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Programming and scripting skills (e.g., Python, Java, PowerShell).
  • Hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools and technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, DLP, etc.).
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles, with a proven track record in security engineering and incident response.
  • Experience in mentoring junior staff.
