Python & Database Engineer (ETL & Reporting)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Python & Database Engineer (ETL & Reporting) to develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines and automated reporting systems. This role focuses on Python development, SQL database management, and ETL processes to ensure efficient data extraction, transformation, and reporting across multiple business areas. 
The ideal candidate is a problem solver who enjoys working with data, optimizing processes, and collaborating with teams to deliver actionable insights

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines to collect, process, and store data from various sources, ensuring data quality and consistency. 
• Write and optimize SQL queries for efficient data storage, retrieval, and reporting. 
• Automate reporting workflows for customer support productivity, financial settlements, and risk analysis. 
• Develop internal Python tools and scripts for database interactions and report generation. 
• Support and enhance data pipelines for Telegram chat analysis, affiliate reporting, and chargeback tracking. 
• Implement changes to reporting logicbased on business needs and automate data processing tasks. 
• Ensure database integrity and performance, identifying and resolving issues proactively. 
• Collaborate with internal teams to enhance data accessibility and usability. 
• Support ad-hoc data requests and provide insights through custom reporting tools. 
• Take ownership of other IT projectsbeyond data-related tasks, embracing opportunities for personal and technical growth

Kualifikimet

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Python, with experience in data processing, scripting, and automation. 
• Strong knowledge of SQL, including database design, optimization, and query performance tuning. 
• Experience with ETL tools and processes, building scalable and efficient data workflows. 
• Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel automation). 
• Understanding of database management systems, preferably Azure SQL. 
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with various teams to support data-driven decisions. 
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen eye for data accuracy and efficiency. 
• Open-minded approach to IT projects, willing to step outside of data-related work and develop new skills in other IT areas. 
• Proactive mindset, with a commitment to KPIs, deadlines, and delivering tangible results rather than just working hours.

Nice to Have:

• Experience working with cloud-based databases (Azure SQL, AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL). 
• Knowledge of API integrations for data extraction. 
• Experience working with large datasets and optimizing data pipelines. 
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD workflows.
