Flex Business Solutions is a Tirana-based company with an international team supporting major construction projects in the New York tri-state area — including scaffolding, hoist, sidewalk shed, and related construction services on some of New York City’s busiest jobsites.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to own the financial side of our construction projects: invoicing, billing schedules, requisitions, collections, and project reporting. You will work hands-on with Schedules of Values (SOVs), AIA requisitions, and rental calculations for scaffolding, hoists, sidewalk sheds, and related services.

You will collaborate daily with Project Managers, Project Executives, clients, and the finance team to make sure every project is billed accurately, documented completely, collected on time, and reported reliably

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Prepare and manage invoices, AIA requisitions, and supporting billing documentation for construction projects.
• Work with Project Managers to prepare, maintain, and update Schedules of Values (SOVs).
• Maintain Accounts Receivable records, monitor outstanding balances, and follow up on collections.
• Calculate monthly rental charges for ongoing project services (scaffolding, hoists, sidewalk sheds, and related systems).
• Keep accurate financial records for contracts, change orders, requisitions, billing, and customer balances.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of project accounts, customer balances, and supporting schedules.
• Coordinate with vendors, clients, project teams, and procurement to resolve billing or documentation issues.
• Support tax return preparation and work with third-party CPA firms when required.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, contract terms, and project-specific procedures.
• Take part in weekly collection and invoicing meetings with Project Executives and other stakeholders.
• Prepare weekly Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable analytics and management reports.

Kualifikimet

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience, ideally in construction, project accounting, or a similar industry.
• Excellent written and spoken English — you will communicate daily with US-based teams and clients.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including advanced formulas, reporting, and reconciliations.
• Experience with QuickBooks or a similar accounting system.
• High attention to detail, strong organizational ability, and a practical problem-solving mindset.
• Strong interpersonal skills for coordinating with project teams, clients, and external partners.

NICE TO HAVE

• Knowledge of AIA requisitions, SOVs, and project-based (percentage-of-completion) accounting.
• Exposure to US construction billing practices.
