Company: Oracle Solicitors is an international law firm known for its problem-solving approach, working with our clients to find innovative legal solutions. We provide tailored services to meet our clients' needs by combining our experience and legal expertise with our commercial understanding. This helps manage risk for our clients and helps them achieve their own financial and strategic objectives. For our newly established office in Tirana, we are looking for a motivated In-house Lawyer to assist us with day-to-day operations.

The In-house Lawyer will report to the Head of Department.

The In-house Lawyer will be located in Tirana, Albania.

Job Overview: The In-house Lawyer will be responsible for dealing with delegated work within their own areas of competence and achieving performance targets as set by the practice. Also, he/she will be responsible for research, drafting of legal documents, and providing support to the solicitors in Germany or Head of Department, as well as dealing with their own caseload and dealing with clients.

Purpose/Main Objectives: To efficiently, responsibly and actively manage an allocated caseload and ensure that cases are progressed properly and timeously. To provide any support required by the Head of Department, by the Department’s solicitor(s), or by others within the firm. To act on behalf of Head of Department as required. To positively promote quality of service to clients, raising the quality level wherever possible. To build and maintain good, effective working relationships with clients and with colleagues.

Relationships:

• Internal: Supportive to the Directors, Heads of Department, and colleagues.
• External: Promoting the Practice wherever possible through PR and quality of service.

Detyrat

• Deal with delegated cases as required, reporting progress to the Head of Department
• Ensure quality of service standards met or exceeded
• Follow internal methods, policies, and procedures as set by the Office Manual
• Carry out file reviews as appropriate
• Advise and assist clients.
• Carry out appropriate preparation for cases.
• Liaise with courts, counsel, counsel's clerks, and witnesses.
• Carry out legal research. Remain informed of changes in any area of specialisation, such that service quality is always maintained.
• Deal promptly with correspondence.
• Adhere to accurate and comprehensive file management and maintenance practices according to company policy and procedures. Use the company’s case management system.
• Record working time in accordance with company policy and guidance.
• Work as part of a team, and demonstrate a collaborative approach without diluting individual responsibility.
• Gather relevant information and evidence on a case. This includes researching the facts of the case as well as identifying the appropriate law, judicial decisions, and legal articles relevant to the case.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, application notices and witness statements
• Respond to clients’ requests, emails and post in a prompt and professional manner; answer telephones/emails in a professional manner.
• Network with clients and build valuable relationships in a way that enhances the company’s reputation.
• Any other hoc duties as directed by the Head of Department, the Department’s German solicitors, or Directors.

Kualifikimet

• Bachelor of Laws Degree from an Albanian or European University.
• A Master of Laws (LL.M.) from a German university would be highly desirable, but not a must.
• Located in Tirana, Albania.
• Business fluent German language knowledge.
• Very good English language knowledge.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritise, and understand the importance of deadlines.
• Highly organised; able to be productive, flexible and simultaneously manage multiple cases and priorities in a performance-driven environment.
• Superior research and data maintenance skills.
• Strong client relationship skills; the ability to establish positive, co-operative and professional relationships, both internal and external.
• Being highly trustworthy, discreet, and using good judgement.
• Ability to work well under pressure, without sacrificing attention to detail.
• Excellent oral and written communication is essential.
• Self-starter and the ability to work autonomously; pro-active and eager to learn.
• Self-awareness and a commitment to using feedback to learn and develop as a professional.
• Ability to read, digest and process large amounts of information into data that can be used in a legal case.
• Computer literacy.
