We are seeking a full-time Database Administrator to help build and maintain several new innovative products in the merchant cash advance space. The successful applicant will work closely with the Development, CRM, and DevOps teams, providing essential input into new system design in addition to ongoing support, maintenance, and enhancements thereafter.

This role will have a direct impact on company growth, working closely with the business to improve existing systems and build out the next generation of products that our clients & customers will interact with. This is a hands-on position; managers need not apply.

This full-time position is fully remote.

Working hours 2:30pm-10:30pm

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain PostgreSQL database servers in AWS RDS.
• Design and implement redundancy and HA strategies including read replicas.
• Ensuring the system is consistent with industry standards and best practices and in adherence to all regulatory requirements.
• Conduct performance tuning, performance monitoring, capacity planning, and other related monitoring and troubleshooting tasks.
• Working in collaboration with developers during the architectural and schema design process, and on changes, fixes and enhancements going forward.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues.
• Design and implement backup/restoration strategies per data retention requirements.
• Maintain database security and auditability.
• Documenting DBA procedures and system configurations.

Kualifikimet

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in a database administrator role.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience working with Postgres and/or SQL Server databases in AWS RDS.
• Strong TSQL coding skills and scripting skills.
• Experience in database tuning.
• Experience working on multiple projects of varying complexity.
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• Comfortable working in a Windows environment.
• Team player with the ability to work well with others and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of database scalability, encryption-at-rest, snapshots, AWS RDS, read replicas.

 Preferred Experience and Qualifications

• Master’s Degree, or EDB/MCSA certification or equivalent.
• Experience with document databases such as AWS DocumentDB or MongoDB.
• Working experience with scripting languages (Python/Powershell/Go/etc.).
• Experience working with Salesforce.
