We are looking to recruit a Restaurant Manager to lead all aspects of our Italian gourmet restaurant.
Restaurant manager will ensure restaurant runs smoothly, working beside the Chef to ensure budget control, quality of service and product. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to lead a team and to manage both front and back of the house. We’ll expect you to oversee the dining room, lead by example and motivate our staff to maintain the highest quality service standards, ensuring customers have a pleasant dining experience. Restaurant manager is also responsible for back of the house management, as you will make orders, oversee food layout, set work schedules, promote the brand and organize events, as well as maintain the restaurant’s revenue and profitability. Italian and English proficiency is required.
•Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operations;
•Oversee the dining room to achieve the highest service standards and exceed guest expectation;
•Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints;
•Develop employees by ensuring regular training and development, coaching and performance evaluation;
•Create an engaging and energetic environment where all associates work as a team;
•Organize and supervise shifts;
•Make food & beverage orders;
•Regularly review product quality and search for new vendors;
•Generate growth and restaurant sales through marketing initiatives;
•Suggest ways to improve restaurant’s image;
•Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events;
•Recommend ways to reach a broader audience.
•Proven working experience as a business manager, assistant manager or progressive experience within
•the hospitality industry;
•Experience in a similar environment, with high quality customer service standards;
•Self-starter, flexible, and able to work independently;
•Strong leadership, motivation and people skills;
•Exceptional organizational skills;
•Passion, good food and beverage knowledge, with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes
•to inform customers and wait staff;
•Acute financial management skills;
•Familiarity with management software;
•Must possess excellent verbal and written skills;
•Post-secondary Degree/Diploma in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Food and Beverage;
•Management and/or equivalent an asset;
•Knowledge about Italian gastronomy is a plus;
•English and Italian proficiency required.
