Përshkrimi i kompanisëEast West Management Institute (ewmi.org) is a New York-based nonprofit organization that implements international development programs on rule of law, civil society development, and economic reform. EWMI will implement the USAID-funded Improved Court Performance Project that will strengthen the efficiency and transparency of Albania’s courts, increase public/NGO demand for improved court performance (including through a grants program), and support investigative journalism in Albania.
EWMI addresses complex challenges with practical, cross-cutting solutions. EWMI specializes in targeted, locally relevant initiatives that foster partnerships, and cross-sector collaboration, from assisting the state and local advocates in policy creation and reform to engaging in court administration, local economic development and technical support to civil society. EWMI does not offer off-the-shelf or cookie cutter solutions to these issues, because it appreciates from experience that each local context is unique.
EWMI’s approach translates democratic aspirations into embedded practice. EWMI ensures the following ingredients are always part of its policy and operating initiatives because they help foster cooperation and mutually compatible solutions:
The obligation to accept responsibility and account for actions and decisions.
The facility or power to produce, perform, or deploy.
The quality that makes something obvious, open or easy to understand.
EWMI is expert at adapting the appropriate combination of ACT principles to the unique local context – building just and prosperous societies, and returning measurable results in the process.
